Father John's: The Final Benediction

A Midwest Paranormal Deep Dive

Some sanctuaries are built for more than just prayer. Located at 301 W Butler St, the building now known as Father John's has stood since 1895 as a beacon of Bryan's spiritual and social history. Originally a Methodist church, it spent 14 years as a

world-class microbrewery, a place where the sacred and the social met under a bell tower and stained glass.

Father Johns paranormal investigation and ghost hunt August 1st, 2026

As of February 2026, the taps have run dry and the doors have closed to the public. Get Haunted Midwest has been granted exclusive access for one of the very final investigations within these walls. This is your second-to-last chance to step into the "higher vibration" of a building that is currently transitioning between its past life and its next unknown purpose.

A Legacy of Stone, Spirit, and Shadows

Father John's is a labyrinth of energy. From the soaring heights of the sanctuary and the custom pipe organ to the dark, mysterious depths of the basement brewery, the building is a masterclass in atmospheric pressure.

  • The Crypt: Beneath the floors lies a quiet, glass-covered crypt, a reminder of the building’s original solemn duty. It remains undisturbed, though its presence is felt throughout the lower levels.

  • The Cross Bar: The concrete, cross-shaped bar in the basement served as a modern altar for the community, potentially acting as a lightning rod for the residual energy of thousands of patrons.

  • Reported Activity: Both staff and past visitors have whispered of unexplained footsteps echoing in the sanctuary, shadow figures moving between the mismatched pews, and "intelligent communication" captured in the quietest corners of the bell tower.

The Investigation: Season One Launch

In the spirit of our Season One: The Spiritualist Movement series, we are here to document the energy of a building in flux.

  • Modern Tech: We utilize a suite of professional environmental sensors and frequency scanners to monitor the transition from the light of the sanctuary to the heavy shadows of the basement. Our tech is tuned to capture anomalies in a space that has just recently gone "cold."

  • Ancestral Methods: We step away from the equipment to utilize traditional techniques used for over a century to bridge the gap. In a building designed for faith, we use raw, intuitive methods to see who—or what—is still lingering after the final "Amen."

The Get Haunted Difference

  • Real History: We honor the 130-year legacy of the building and the vision of those who saved it.

  • Authenticity: No actors, no tricks—just the raw, transitioning energy of a Bryan icon.

  • Zero Tolerance: This is a place of respect. Any disrespectful behavior will result in immediate removal.
